Operation School Bell clothing distributions resumed in August on a limited basis and the Dental Center will resume operations on September 8, 2020. For more information please call us at 909-629-6142 or send an email to the following: Dental Center: dentalcenter@alpv.org Operation School Bell: osb@alpv.org 2020 "SMILE WITH A CHILD" GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER CANCELLED Due to the Coronavirus the 21 st Annual Assistance League of Pomona Valley/Oremor Automotive Group "Smile With A Child" Golf Tournament for 2020 has been canceled . This is our largest fundraiser and supports over 60% of our philanthropic programs. That takes a huge slice out of our ability to provide new school clothing, dental care and other critical services to the under-served students their families in our community. We are trying to find other ways to allow us to continue our service to our community during these difficult times. Our hearts go out to all those affected by COVID-19 and, we are hoping for a quick return to normal. We look forward to seeing all of our valued supporters at the 2021 "Smile With A Child" Golf Tournament on May 10, 2021 for a wonderful reunion. In the meantime, please consider a donation to help us continue our Dental Center and Operation School Bell programs that are so important to low income children and families in our community. Donate Now ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF POMONA VALLEY Assistance League of Pomona Valley is a chapter of National Assistance League, an all-volunteer, member driven organization and is qualified as a 501(c)(3) organization with the IRS. Our chapter provides multiple services to qualifying children and their families living in the communities of Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona and San Dimas. Assistance League of Pomona Valley, the eighth oldest chapter of the more than 120 chapters of National Assistance League, was organized in 1932-33 and chartered in 1946. Members raise funds and implement programs that serve specific needs in local areas. Clients are referred by school district personnel. Often siblings and other family members also benefit from our services. Donate Now Other Ways To Help News & Coming Events A special thanks to Edison International for proving a grant to fund new coats/jackets for over 600 students during the 2017-2018 school year. Edison International is an important partner in our efforts to expand our Operation School Bell program. Follow us: Dental Center (click to learn more) Dentists and support staff provide routine and emergency dental services to children from low-income families that otherwise are unable to receive this critical care. Through this worthwhile program, children can concentrate on their education rather than on their pain. Additionally, each child selects a new book to take home. Each student also receives a new book of their choice.
